Julia Zeigler

Julia has been teaching private music lessons since 2011 at various studios throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland and is now delighted to call Stepping Stone Music Company her home.

 

With a background in classical voice, and experience in musical theatre, Julia loves performing on stage and helping others build up the confidence to do the same. 

 

Julia studied Music Ministry at Hillsong College in Australia and PLBC in Surrey, BC. For many years, Julia has worked as a worship director at various churches in the Lower Mainland, led choirs and taught workshops. She loves to lead worship as well as equipping other worship leaders to build their skills.

 

Most recently, Julia was teaching with Singeo.com, an online lesson platform, where she was thrilled to coach students all over the world, creating video content and hosting live-streamed lessons. 

 

Julia performs and writes songs as part of a local folk trio, Thistle Dew. 

 

What Julia finds most exciting about teaching music is to see the light come on when someone discovers true joy in singing or playing or performing. She considers it a privilege to be part of a student’s musical journey; to guide, cheer them on, to support them and help them reach their goals.

 

 

Fun facts: Julia is originally from Germany, and has lived in Canada since 2008. Her first instrument was the accordion and she is obsessed with her little dog named Mavis Staples.
